Canine, Advocacy, Rescue, Education and Service

Our Mission

Sunny Days CARES, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and communities through canine advocacy, rescue, education, and service. We strive to provide accessible training and education resources, collaborate with rescue organizations, and empower individuals with disabilities by facilitating access to assistance dogs. Our mission is to create a more inclusive and compassionate world where the human-canine bond thrives.

Born from Experience.
Built on Purpose.

Sunny Days CARES didn't begin in a boardroom. It began in the everyday reality of living with disability, and the quiet realization that the systems meant to help simply weren't working for most people. Danielle, owner of Sunny Days Dog Training, has spent years watching what a well-trained dog can do for a person's life, from steadying a nervous step to opening doors to new possibilities. And Juleah, a service dog handler herself, has lived it firsthand: the freedom, the independence, and the deep bond that can transform daily life.

But they also saw the other side: the price tags that put service dogs out of reach for most families, the waitlists that stretched for years, and the persistent gaps in public knowledge about how working dogs function, what they're allowed to do, and how to properly train and vet them.

“We knew there had to be a better way, so we decided to build it."

Together, Danielle and Juleah founded Sunny Days CARES: Canine Advocacy, Rescue, Education & Service — right here in Winter Park, Florida. A nonprofit rooted in the belief that accessibility means more than a ramp at the front door. It means creating a clear, affordable path so every person who needs a well-trained service dog has a real chance to get one.
